New Alternatives for Children, Inc. (NAC) is an innovative and interdisciplinary child welfare and social services agency that provides essential support to families with at least one family member who has a disability and/or chronic medical condition. Children and their families engage with NAC’s services through the city’s foster care system, preventive services, or by way of community or hospital referral. All our clients have access to a wide array of services including intensive, multi-faceted support for children’s educational needs.
As such, NAC is looking for a creative problem solver to join a fun, hardworking team as an Education Specialist for early childhood and elementary aged clients who will support families from NAC who participate in early intervention, community-based programs, and in wide-ranging school/schooling related matters. Additionally, the Education Specialist ECE will assist in the development and delivery of opportunities related to the promotion of caregiver empowerment for self-advocacy.
