New Alternatives for Children, Inc. (NAC) is an award-winning not-for-profit agency in Midtown Manhattan that is dedicated to serving children with special healthcare needs and their families. To assist in achieving this mission, NAC is currently seeking a Van Driver to join its Transportation team.
The Van Driver supports the agency by transporting clients to and from program related activities, including family visits in the Foster Care Program, diversified recreation activities, groups and special events. They will become familiar and knowledgeable about the organization, the function of each department, and related policies and procedures. This position supports NAC.’s mission to provide the highest quality of care by complying with regulatory guidelines and meeting child welfare industry standards. Reporting to the Transportation Director, the Van Driver will be responsible for the following: a). Providing safe and efficient transportation for NAC staff and clients. b). Providing a consistently high-quality support service. c). Collaborating with Transportation Director and Fleet Supervisor to manage vehicle and d). Promoting and maintaining full cooperation and professionalism with team members, staff from other departments, and all NAC clientele.
