2025 NAC Kids Olympics and Carnival at Asphalt Green
In June 2025, after a long-awaited return since the pandemic, nearly 500 NAC children and families came together at Asphalt Green to take the field once again for the NAC Kids Olympics. It was the first time since 2019 that this beloved event was held, and the joy was undeniable. From water laser tag and soccer dart boards to bumper cars, arts and crafts, and group dance parties, the day was filled with activities designed to meet every child where they are—while challenging them to try something new and celebrate all they can do.
Many of the children who participated live with multiple disabilities and/or developmental delays, use wheelchairs, or have limited mobility. But for this day, they were athletes, teammates, and stars—each going home with an Olympics medal, and a heart full of pride.
The day gave our children the chance to overcome physical and emotional obstacles, build confidence, connect with peers, and create lasting memories. Parents and friends cheered them on from the sidelines as they laughed, played, and discovered their strength. It was more than just fun—it was empowering.
Many of NAC’s children are living in poverty, and some have spent more time in hospitals than on playgrounds. Events like the NAC Olympics offer them something every child deserves: a day to be celebrated, encouraged, and seen. Whether they raced to the finish line or danced across it, every child was a champion.
