We were thrilled to celebrate the 2024 NAC Kids Can Gala on October 22 at Pier Sixty, honoring the incredible legacy of Arlene Goldsmith, NAC’s beloved founder. This year’s gala was a once-in-a-lifetime event, filled with emotion, gratitude, and celebration of all Arlene has accomplished in her remarkable 43 years at NAC. We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended and made the evening unforgettable.
Our emcee for the night, Jamie Wax, Playwright and Special Correspondent for CBS News, kept the energy high with his warmth and wit, making everyone feel connected and part of the NAC family. Arlene’s dedication and passion for NAC’s children and families were highlighted throughout the night, reminding us of her incredible impact.
Guests enjoyed bidding on exclusive auction items, such as luxurious vacations, unique experiences, and fabulous items from renowned brands. The spirited paddle raise, led by the incomparable Lydia Fenet, brought in an additional wave of generosity, raising crucial funds for the Arlene Goldsmith Legacy fund to support NAC’s children with special medical needs and their families.
We are so grateful to our Circle of Honor for their tireless efforts in making the evening a resounding success, and to all of our sponsors and donors who helped us raise over $2.2 million!
It was an extraordinary evening for NAC, and we couldn’t have done it without the continued support of our amazing community. We look forward to continuing Arlene’s legacy and ensuring that NAC Kids Can continue to thrive.
