Every day, Neediest Cases articles offer glimpses into the lives of New York’s poor. Often, the subjects have recently survived a crisis or are still in one and their futures seem uncertain at best. Revisiting three cases from the 2005-6 campaign shows how timely assistance, and the continuing support of the seven agencies that are the beneficiaries of The New York Times Neediest Cases Fund, have turned lives around.
