Annual Luncheon Recognizes Dedicated Foster Parents
We are extremely proud to celebrate NAC’s amazing foster parents as part of National Foster Care Month. On Tuesday, May 21st, our foster parents were treated to a delicious lunch at Blue Smoke restaurant in the Flatiron District. Together, they were able to share stories of their perseverance and were honored with a Certificate of Recognition for all they do as well as a special gift. This year we were excited to be joined by New York City Councilwoman Carlina Rivera. Carlina represents the 2nd Council District in Manhattan, where many of our annual events are held, including our Book Fair and Back to School Fair. NAC parents were proud to receive her words of support and encouragement for the “incredible courage they show on a daily basis.”Â
We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate all of our parents’ incredible commitment to providing safe and nurturing homes to children in need. They are truly an inspiration for us all!
