2021 NAC Kids Can Gala Raises Over 2.3 Million
After a year of going virtual, we were so excited to be back in person to celebrate our annual NAC Kids Can Gala at Pier Sixty on October 20, 2021. We were pleased to welcome this year’s outstanding honoree, Frank Baker of Siris Capital, and our Dinner Co-Chairs Dan Clivner and José Feliciano. Together, they combined to help us raise over 2.3 million dollars!
Our emcee for the evening, Craig Melvin, News Anchor, “TODAY”, Co-Host of the 3rd Hour, TODAY, and Anchor on MSNBC Live kept the audience entertained while making everyone feel welcome, relaxed, and connected. Everyone enjoyed being back together for a night of inspiring speeches, including one from our amazing guest speaker Daniella, whose incredible speech made us all believe that NAC Kids Can!
Guests had the chance to bid on some amazing auction prizes, including fantastic trips, exclusive NYC packages, round trip tickets to anywhere JetBlue flies, and more! The evening concluded with a spirited paddle raise led by Auctioneer Charles Antin. This fund-a-need portion of the program resulted in nearly $300,000 raised to support NAC’s Mental Health Clinic and services.
Overall, the night was a great success and made an immediate impact and a difference in the lives of children with severe disabilities and chronic illnesses across New York City.
