NAC recently hosted our Back-to-School celebration, ensuring that hundreds of children had everything they need to start the school year with confidence. Thanks to the generosity of our community, 794 backpacks were donated to NAC—each filled with essential school supplies—along with 3,000 pens, erasers, and pencils from Delivery Goods.1

1We are also deeply grateful to the 150 volunteers from Area 23 on Hudson, the 7th District, Critical Mass, NYJL, Kohl’s, Greenbacker Capital, and our Junior Board, who helped stuff backpacks, prepare the event, and personally hand out supplies to families.

1While families picked up their back-to-school essentials, children also enjoyed creating bookmarks, pins, and backpack tags, setting goals for the year, and choosing clothes and books from our giveaway rooms. It was a day full of energy and excitement, but most importantly, it was about giving children the tools and confidence they need to thrive in the year ahead.
