Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney Helps Secure Over $500k for NAC Kids
NAC’s Executive Director, Dr. Arlene Goldsmith, COO Dr. David Goldstein, Education Director Tomas Hunt, and Board Member Marian Bott joined Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, in Union Square to publicly celebrate Congresswoman Maloney’s championing FY22 Federal Appropriations funding in the amount of $6.3 million for NYC.
NAC is one of 10 community organizations receiving support from this historic bill. “The $505,000 that Congresswoman Maloney secured for NAC is incredible and we could not be more thankful for her support of NAC children and families and all New Yorkers in need. After two long years of COVID, our families need extra support as they are still struggling with challenges caused by the pandemic,” said Arlene Goldsmith. Funding secured for NAC will go a long way in expanding vital mental and medical health services for the most vulnerable children and families in NYC.
“This bill passed the appropriations committee, passed the House, in the Senate, and I can’t wait for it to get out of Washington into the community helping the lives of our people here in New York,” Maloney said. “I am honored to be able to support their work with critical federal funding.”
