Junior Board Members participate in the 2021 New York City Marathon for NAC Kids
NAC Junior Board members Nick Deering and Hillary Wool raced their way across all five boroughs, covering 26.2 miles while combining to raise over $7,000 to make a difference in the lives of NAC Kids. This incredible accomplishment is sure to not only leave them feeling good about all they have done but will also make an immediate impact on the medically complex children we serve.
“As a member of NAC’s Junior Board, I’ve seen the powerful, life-shaping impact that NAC’s team has for kids and their families – providing vital services from education and healthcare, to nutrition and social support,” says Hillary Wool, “NAC’s mission deeply aligns with my values: As a former NYC public school teacher, I’ve seen what it takes to help at-risk kids develop and thrive, and over the past few years I’ve become more involved within the disability and patient advocacy space.”
The NAC Junior Board is a leading group of professionals that act as ambassadors of NAC’s mission. NAC serves NYC’s most vulnerable children – those who have experienced or are at risk of abuse and neglect, live in poverty, and have a profound disability or chronic illness. Junior Board members leverage their passion for NAC’s mission to become long-term resources and use their personal and professional networks to fundraise, advocate, and volunteer in support of NAC’s vital services.
