NAC Honored by the Administration for Children’s Services
We are so proud of our incredible staff who continue to go above and beyond for the medically complex children we serve. Twice a year the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) awards individuals and groups working at provider agencies for Excellence in Practice. On September 28, 2021, four NAC staff members and our DEIB Committee won well-deserved Excellence in Practice awards.
NAC Education Director Tomas Hunt and Assistant Education Director, Caroline Greig were honored for their inspiring leadership of the education team at NAC and their unparalleled knowledge of education law and policy, which places them at the forefront of efforts to improve the systems in which they operate.
Assistant Director of Intake and Foster Parent Support, Muriel Vancol, and Child Placement Specialist, Nikki Greco also received an award for their committed and clinically astute work to ensure a vulnerable youth who was living in a residential setting long-term, was placed in a home with a nurturing NAC foster family. This work was life-changing for the youth involved.
NAC’s entire DEIB Committee was recognized for collectively examining and working to dismantle areas of exclusion and oppression on multiple levels.
NAC staff are on the front lines every day, making a difference. We are honored that ACS has recognized their excellence in practice and their contributions to the safety, permanency, and well-being of children in the child welfare system.
