The arrival of fall is an exciting time for NAC clients and with school starting again, students of all ages are getting ready to see their teachers and classmates again for another year.

In August, our Education Team held NAC’s Annual Back to School Fair. With the support of our community partners, who came through for our kids in a BIG way, nearly 1,000 backpacks were donated! Every child was able to choose their very own backpack, each one filled with notebooks, pens, rulers, folders, and more!

It was a great day celebrating with NAC kids who came together for the first large-scale event held in our new Midtown Headquarters. They created custom pins that they could wear proudly on the first day of school and had the opportunity to pick out their very own books to take home with them.

Special thanks to NYC Council Member, Gale A. Brewer, who stopped by to help wish our kids luck and prosperity as they begin the school year. We wish all our kids a fantastic school year filled with hope and learning opportunities.
