Meet the Junior Board

Ashley Davis
President
Ashley Davis is the Educational Director of the Park Slope Schoolhouse, a non-profit early childhood program, and she is an Adjunct Professor at Queens College Department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education. Ashley holds a BS in Child and Family Studies from Syracuse University, a Masters of Arts in Early Childhood Special Education from New York University, and a Masters in Administration/Supervision from Hunter College. Her passion for working with children and families began as a young adult when she coached the Special Olympics Swim Team and took them to the World Games.
Fun Fact: Ashley has an adorable Cavapoo puppy who was featured in a recent Vogue Magazine issue that was dedicated to animals.

Bailey Wise
Vice President
Bailey Pearce is a Process Engineer in the Luxury division of L’Oreal, managing capital projects for new product integrations. Bailey holds a BSE in Chemical Engineering with a minor in German from the University of Michigan, and recently acquired her Green Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma. Bailey has been involved with NAC since July 2019 as a Junior Board Member, and learned about NAC through the Night for NAC event
Fun Fact: Bailey loves to sail, and can often be found on Sunday afternoons in the summer cruising New York Harbor with friends.
Noelle Stamos
Secretary
Noelle is the Vice President of Clinical Operations at Harley Street Medical. In this role, she aims to ensure access to the highest quality, personalized and coordinated care, while ensuring standardization and scalability. Noelle holds a BA in Spanish from Georgetown University and an MBA from the New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business. Noelle has been involved with NAC since December of 2020 as a member of the Junior Board after learning about the organization’s work through its fundraising efforts. Having worked in healthcare for over 10 years and having seen first-hand the complexities that even the most well-resourced families face in navigating the healthcare system, supporting NAC and its mission is something she feels truly passionate about. Noelle currently serves as a member of the Georgetown Alumni Admissions Program interviewing incoming undergraduate candidates and has also served as a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City.
FUN FACT: Noelle has always had a passion for baking; during college, she worked at the original Georgetown Cupcake store before they launched their reality show on TLC!

Lisa Cappiello
Lisa Cappiello is an Associate in Risk and Governance for the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). Lisa previously worked as an Associate in RBC’s finance department working on regulatory reporting, financial control, governance reporting, issues management and report quality assurance testing.
Lisa graduated from Drew University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics with a double minor in Business and Data Science. Lisa was a member of the Women’s basketball team as well as a co-leader of the Drew Unified Sports club. Lisa is originally from Staten Island, New York.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Lisa is a basketball coach for young girls at St. Teresa Church of Staten Island as well as St. Joseph By the Sea Highschool. Through her coaching, Lisa is empowering young women to become great leaders.

Denis Collins
Denis Collins joined Apollo in 2023 in the Private Equity Capital Markets group. Prior to that time, Denis started his career at Bank of America, where he spent 2 years across Financial Sponsors Investment Banking and Credit Sales & Trading.
Denis graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics & Mathematics.
Rebecca Gevertz
Rebecca Gevertz is a Fund Manager for the Department of Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Rebecca previously worked as a Senior Analyst, Supply Chain for the Greater New York Hospital Association. Rebecca holds a BA in Biology and Public Health from Brown University. She has been involved with NAC since 2000, joined the NAC Young Professionals in 2015, and now serves on the Junior Board.
Fun Fact:Â Rebecca is an avid Boston Red Sox fan, despite both growing up and continuing to live in New York.
Nicole Glon
Nicole Glon is a Partnership Manager at Pointr.Tech, a location tech company. Nicole holds a BA in Public Relations from Pennsylvania State University. Nicole has been involved with NAC since January 2021 when she joined the Junior Board. She first became involved with NAC by going to the Spring Gala. Prior to NAC, Nicole worked at the National Kidney Foundation when she first moved to NYC in 2015 where she started getting involved in philanthropy. Most recently she helped kick start the Rockerteer Committee at her current company where she leads in planning philanthropic activities throughout the year for her company.
FUN FACT: Nicole was the Captain of the Penn State Fencing team in 2014 when they won the National Championship!
Alexis Hart
Alexis Hart is Director of Digital Content at Borghese and founder of RandomActsofLipstick.com, where she curates content about beauty brands and influencers who give back. Alexis holds a BA in Sociology from Bucknell University. She has been involved with NAC since 2009, and is a founding member and former fundraising chair for the NAC Young Professionals. Alexis is also a volunteer at the Coalition for the Homeless and fosters pups through Social Tees Animal Rescue.
Fun Fact: Alexis rarely leaves her apartment without the perfect red lipstick and SPF 30+.

Timothy Kahrs
Timothy Kahrs is a Manager of Risk Advisory Services at Dixon Hughes Goodman and has more than 11 years of experience in the financial services industry. Timothy specializes in business development, front-to-back office transformation, technology optimization, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance. He holds a BS in Financial Economics from Binghamton University, and has volunteered with New York Cares and the Movember Foundation.
Fun Fact: While in college, Tim was a member of the Harpur’s Ferry Ambulance Corp., serving as an EMT-Basic for three years.

Katherine Ko
Katherine Ko is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins, LLP, a leading global law firm. Katherine graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Columbia University with a B.A. in Art History and French Language and Literature, and she received her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2024. She has long harboured a passion for helping those in need through volunteering domestically and abroad, as well as running marathons to fundraise for various charitable causes.
Fun Fact: Katherine has run 60+ marathons and 1 Ironman 140.6, and is the youngest person in the world to run the 6 Abbott World Marathon Majors (New York, Boston, Chicago, Berlin, London, and Tokyo)!

Jeremy Magno
Jeremy Magno joined Apollo in 2022 in the Apollo Capital Solutions Group and is responsible for supporting the firm’s syndication efforts. Prior to that time, Jeremy was an Analyst at J.P. Morgan, where he spent two years in the bank’s Leveraged Finance Group. Jeremy is a New Jersey native and proud graduate of Bergen Catholic High School.
Jeremy graduated from Harvard University where he played lacrosse and graduated with a BA degree in Computer Science.
Amanda Manthey
Amanda Manthey, CIMA® is a Vice President – Relationship Manager at iCapital, where she manages client relationships and prospects for Asset and Wealth Managers and focuses on connecting General Partners with RIAs and Advisors in the alternative space while utilizing cutting edge technology. She joined iCapital in 2024, following her previous 16 years at PIMCO. She is also an active member of the volunteer organization, 100 Women in Finance on both the MidCareer Committee as well as the Education Committee. and is on the leadership committee for iCapital’s Women’s Resource Group, WISE. She is currently studying for her CAIA® (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst). Amanda has 21 years of business experience and holds a BS in Finance and Marketing from Lehigh University. She joined the New Alternatives for Children (NAC for short) Junior Board in 2018 and currently serves as the head of the Volunteering Committee.
Fun Fact: Amanda owns her own photography business, specializing in maternity, children, and posed newborn images.

Gabrielle Marcus
Gabby is a member of the digital team at (RED), a nonprofit organization that partners with leading brands to fight AIDS and strengthen global health systems. Since joining (RED) in 2018, she has worked with hundreds of partners across industries—from fashion and hospitality to life sciences—leveraging social and digital media to spotlight (RED) products and raise awareness of global health inequities. Originally from Short Hills, New Jersey, Gabby earned her BS in Public Relations from The University of Texas at Austin. She joined the NAC Junior Board in 2023.
Leanna Nazzisi
Leanna Nazzisi is the Manager of Customer Operations and Communications at Birchbox. She helps facilitate the relationship between customers and Birchbox’s cross-teams, and all engagements are delivered with the best-in-class service, friendliness and professionalism. Leanna attended college at St. John’s University and City University of New York at Queens College, studying in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics. Leanna first became involved with NAC through organizing the Birchbox team to donate and volunteer during the NAC Book Fair and NAC Olympics.
FUN FACT: Leanna loves musical theatre and has won 4 Broadway musical ticket lotteries in less than one year!

Chike Onyia
Chike Onyia is a Consultant at a New York-based life sciences consulting firm, where he advises clients on strategic initiatives to drive innovation and impact in healthcare. Previously, Chike worked as a Wall Street analyst at Citigroup, trading fixed-income municipal securities, and he is an aspiring hedge fund manager with expertise in equity futures day trading.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Chike has a deep passion for community service. In addition to his involvement with NAC, he runs his own charity organization, School of Life Africa, a virtual program that equips young African students with essential life skills often overlooked in traditional education systems. Through this initiative, Chike is empowering the next generation of African leaders with tools for success.
Fun Fact: Chike is a Nigerian prince on both sides of his family—his grandparents were from royal families that intermarried.

Michael Russo
Mike joined Golub Capital in 2024 as an Associate on their Direct Lending Capital Markets team, advising on and syndicating transactions for Financial Sponsors. Prior to that time, Mike started his career at MUFG Securities where he spent 3 years in Leveraged Finance and Capital Markets.
Mike graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance & Business Analytics where he was a mentor in the Leadership Learning Community and a member of the Club Lacrosse team. Mike is originally from Long Island, New York.

Chris Schwaiger
Arvind Singh
Arvind Singh is an Associate Director, Risk and Controls Group, US Enterprise Risk, Group Risk Management, USA, for the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). He has held positions at DHG, HomeServe, AIG, and Alliance Bernstein. He holds an MBA in Finance and Management from Fordham and an MS in Economic Development Via Sustainable Tourism from Boston University. He has been involved with NAC since 2009 as a volunteer and was a member of the NAC Young Professionals.
Fun Fact: Arvind is a huge Yankees fan and has been lucky enough to attend several memorable playoff games since 1996.

Sophia Templin
Sophia Templin is a Director at Finsbury Glover Hering, where she provides strategic counsel, public relations and investor relations support to companies involved in high-profile special situations, transactions and corporate crises. Sophia holds a BS in Journalism from the University of Kansas.
Sophia first became involved with NAC through her work with the New York Junior League in 2018. She joined the NAC Junior Board in September 2021.
FUN FACT: Sophia pitched all four years for the KU softball team. She continues to coach and give pitching lessons around the NYC metro area.
